Inspiration - Companies
A CSR program can aid recruitment and retention of employees. Particularly within the competitive graduate student market. Often, potential recruits will consider your firm's CSR policy. CSR can also help improve the internal perception of your company particularly when your staff becomes involved with activities such as fundraising or community volunteering. CSR has also been credited with improving customer orientation amongst its staff.
Many executives claim that employees are their most valuable asset. Therefore, their ability to retain them, will naturally lead to organizational success. Furthermore, socially responsible activities promote fairness, which generates lower employee turnover while social irresponsibility may negatively impact employees view of your company.
Generally, executives want to build a positive work environment that benefits, not only CSR, but the company itself. Their interest in doing this, is primarily driven by their realization that a positive environment can have desirable outcomes, such as improved job attitudes and increased work performance.
