Information collected from website visitors and registered users of our digital services

As a visitor to our Website, our servers automatically records certain information, such as your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, so we understand which country you are connecting from when you visit the Website, your operating system, your browser ID, your browsing activity on our site, and other information about how you interacted with our Website, which can be used to identify you. We may collect this information also through using cookies or other tracking technologies.

You may choose to interact with our Website by entering data into form fields and providing personal data to Target Aid, such as giving us your name, email address, password and other information when signing up for our newsletter, submitting questions, signing up for an offering, creating an account, making a donation, registering to a fundraising event or when interacting with Target Aid sales and/or customer success personnel.

We only collect personal data that is reasonable or necessary to accomplish the purpose of your interaction with Target Aid as a visitor to our Website, as a registered account owner or as a subscriber of our digital services. You may choose not to provide this information, but you need to understand that as a result, you may not be able to engage in certain activities on the Website nor use the registered account or subscribed services properly. Any personal data provided by you as a visitor to the Website, as a registered account owner, or as a subscriber and user of our digital services, will be used only as described in this Privacy Policy.

Scenarios when personal information is collected

We collect information when you create an account on our Website, edit your account information, donate to a project, event or fundraiser, register for a fundraising event, create a fundraiser, or when you register to join Target Aid as a profile page owner (Fundraiser, NGO, Sports organisation or Company), as described below.

Creating / editing an individual account:

When you create or edit an individual account on our Website, we collect basic information about you - name, email address, password and geographical location. You can choose to provide additional information, such as an avatar photo for your account, your mailing address, and your areas of interest when you continue the onboarding process or when you create a profile page as a Target Aid Fundraiser.

We also collect information on how you choose to be informed about news and updates from Target Aid.

When creating an account on our Website we also capture that you consent to our Terms and Conditions as well as this Privacy Policy.

Donating / Supporting a cause (project, event, fundraiser)

At Target Aid you can donate to fundraising projects (or campaigns) created by non-profit organisations and online fundraisers created by peer-to-peer fundraisers. You can also make donations to fundraising events arranged by non-profit organisations or peer-to-peer fundraisers.

When you make an online donation on Target Aid, we collect personal data such as your email address, if you have not previously provided these details during a prior session. We collect information about your donation, including the cause you are donating to and the amount of your donation.

Depending on what payment option you choose you are also asked to leave required information to complete the payment. This could be your phone number or your credit card details, which are processed by a third-party payment vendor. We do not retain this information.

When donating you also have an option to leave your name and a personal message with your donation to be published publicly on the fundraising page you are supporting. If you decide not to leave this information, you will remain anonymous unless you are logged in with a registered account when you make the donation. In that case your donation will be connected and displayed on your personal account page, only visible to yourself and Target Aid support personnel, not to anyone else.

Registering to a fundraising event

When you register to a fundraising event published on Target Aid we capture your email, the tickets you choose to purchase and payment details (same as when donating). In some cases, not always mandatory, you are also asked to provide name and personal message on the participants for each ticket. All this information is provided to the event organisers to enable them to stay in contact with event participants.

When registering to a fundraising event you also have an option to leave your name and a personal message to be published publicly on the fundraising event page you are attending and supporting.

Creating a fundraiser

When you create a fundraiser for a project or event published on Target Aid, we collect information about the project or event you decide to raise funds for or wish to support. If the project or event you wish to raise funds for is not eligible for peer-2-peer fundraising, you can send a request to fundraise to the creator of the project or event. In this case your name and email will be shared with the administrator/s of this project or event.

Anything that you publish on your fundraiser page will be seen publicly by visitors to the Website.

Register a profile page account – Fundraiser

A Fundraiser Profile Page Account is created the moment when a user decides to create a fundraiser for a cause published on Target Aid.

The information collected when registering a Fundraiser Profile Page Account is the same as when registering an individual account (see above). The Fundraiser may also leave personal information when creating the personal Fundraiser page to promote his/her fundraiser and its cause. All this information is shared publicly on the Website.
